Announcement - Job opening  for executive director eResearch SA

The Executive Director eResearch SA will:

  • Lead strategic collaborations at the State and national level
  • Drive transformational change in research practice
  • Develop leading-edge eResearch expertise and resources


eResearch SA is a collaborative joint venture between the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of South Australia .

It was established in 2007 as a new entity to provide eResearch support, training, infrastructure and services for South Australia's vibrant research community and aims to effect change in the way research is performed in the State by leveraging engagement and developing eResearch capabilities across all disciplines.

eResearch SA was established to coordinate the implementation of national and state eResearch strategies in South Australia and is the South Australian member of the Australian Research Collaboration Service (ARCS). It will serve as the state node of future national activities to support eResearch development and cooperation across the country.

Working in association with the eResearch SA Board, the Executive Director will lead the establishment, business development and strategic direction of eResearch SA. The Executive Director will work proactively to grow eResearch SA's outreach services and infrastructure, to attract new sources of funding, and will develop the eResearch SA business plan, manage its day to day operations and take responsibility for all financial and budgetary aspects of the organisation.

Suitably qualified and experienced professionals with a demonstrated understanding of the underlying technologies, solutions and support required in this key leadership role should apply.
