Announcement - Uptake and sustainability of e-science in Taiwan, the UK and beyond: UK e-Science session

As part of the 6th UK e-Science 2007 All-hands Meeting, held 10-13 September in Nottingham, U.K, a Birds of a Feather session entitled National Comparisons of Uptake and Sustainability of e-Science will take place on 12 September 2007.

The session aims to discuss the development of e-infrastructure in Taiwan and the UK, and to map current projects in e-research, particularly in the areas of digital archives and geo-science.

Since Taiwan’s Academia Sinica Grid Computing center  is the Asia Federation Coordinator for the Enabling Grids for E-sciencE project, the session will also cover wider e-science developments and achievements in Asia.

The session will feed into a report on the uptake of e-infrastructure tools and services. It should be of interest for all members of the e-science community who are involved in strategic decision making in their projects and organizations.
