The Do-Son School on Advanced Computing and Grid Technologies for Research will take place from 5-16 November 2007 at the Institute of Information Technology of the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology in Hanoi, Vietnam.

In the spirit of the Do Son schools, jointly organized by CNRS and the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology, and of the International Symposia on Grid Computing, organized by the Academia Sinica in Taïwan, the school aims to train students and young researchers from all over Asia in grid technology.

Trainees will learn how to use grid infrastructure and highly successful tools for simulation and data analysis.

The classes will be given in English by international experts from Asia and Europe. The school will finish with a one-day international symposium on grid computing and applications, scheduled for 16 November.

Registrations are open until 30 September; the number of participants is limited.

The current school sponsors are CNRS/DRI, CNRS/IN2P3, VAST, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (STIC-Asia network) and EGEE.
